Vibrations caused by rail vehicles can be effectively reduced through the use of floating slab track systems. To ensure a high level of ride comfort, the relative longitudinal movements between individual track slabs must be reliably accommodated.

Where the complex structural design requires additional corrosion or fire protection at the joint, our customised Stremaform^® expansion joint elements offer the ideal combination of protection and functionality.

How to:

• In order to ensure a fast and rational construction process, Egcodorn^® DND shear force dowels can be integrated into pre-fabricated Stremaform^® expansion joint elements.
• Installation takes place element by element using a crane.
• Prefabrication guarantees the parallel installation of the elements.
• In the finished state, vertical relative movements between two neighbouring continuous slabs are prevented.
• At the same time the track troughs can freely deform horizontally in the joint in the direction of travel.
