Egcodorn® shear reinforcement dowels used in construction of a port in Contonou

As part of the large-scale modernization of the harbour of Cotonou, numerous concrete surfaces are being created, including for quays, roadways, storage areas, and in the area of the new Terminal 5. Special solutions for joint reinforcement are being used to meet the requirements for permanent stability and safe load transfer.

A key component here is the Egcodorn® shear reinforcement dowel from MAX FRANK. This product enables efficient and safe transfer of shear forces across movement joints without restricting the mobility of the joints. The availability of corrosion-protected variants such as stainless steel is a decisive advantage, especially in maritime environments.

The use of Egcodorn® products not only increases the longevity of the concrete surfaces, but also ensures the functionality and operational safety of the entire port area in the long term.

MAX FRANK SAS would like to thank the Eiffage Group for the successful collaboration.
