Pecafil® permanent formwork (Type VR6) was successfully used in the groundworks of the new stands of the Ashton Gate Stadium.
A £45m three-phase development of two new stands and one remodelled stand. Upon completion Ashton Gate will boast a 27,700 seat capacity and will become the largest conference and exhibition centre in the South West.
The 86-year old Wedlock Stand was demolished in 2014 and replaced with a new 6,000 seater South Stand including 250 seater restaurant, 4 executive lounges, sports bar, museum, coffee shop, club shop, community corner and club offices.
In 2015 the lower tier of the Dolman Stand was replaced with a new seating deck, the roof extended and a new concourse installed to provide improved spectator facilities and exhibition space. Works on the South Stand and Dolman Stand were completed in summer 2015.
The final phase, replacing the Williams Stand with a new two-tiered West Stand, started in May 2015 and will be completed in time for the 2016/17 season. The stand will include an 850 seater restaurant, 18 hospitality boxes, 1000 corporate seats as well as new media and player facilities.
