New campus for children from all over the world
The “International Bilingual School” project in Moosach involves the expansion of a modern educational facility for students of different ages and nationalities. The building complex comprises classrooms, specialized teaching rooms, administrative areas, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, as well as outdoor areas with playgrounds and break zones. The objective of the project is to create a pedagogically high-quality learning environment that complies with both the requirements of an international school operation and current energy, functional, and urban planning standards. Upon completion, the new campus will provide a bilingual learning and activity environment for children aged 0–10, including a nursery, kindergarten, and primary school.
For almost every new school or administrative building — including the International Bilingual School project in Munich — structural joint sealing is essential to protect the building permanently from moisture. Basements, foundations, and floor slabs are in direct contact with the ground. In this case, waterproofing against positive water pressure was required to ensure uninterrupted daily school operations.
Considering the specific requirements of the applicable standards, the Fradiflex® waterstop system was used. The system was installed in construction joints and working joints to ensure a durable, watertight joint. Combined with other Fradiflex® products, a continuous joint waterproofing system was created, providing maximum safety, reliable protection against water ingress, and ease of installation.
