ččĘ How to: Pecafil┬« as foundation formwork for prefabricated reinforcement cages

The MAX FRANK permanent formwork Pecafil® can be used for foundation formwork, where it also proves advantageous in combination with prefabricated reinforcement cages.

Prefabricated reinforcement cages, supplied by the reinforcement company, simplify foundation construction on the building site.
In addition, the reinforcement cages can then be encased with Pecafil® formwork material in advance.

  • This eliminates the need for steel frame formwork on the construction site.
  • In addition to the elimination of the rental price for the frame formwork, the time required for assembly on the construction site is also reduced.

When using Pecafil® as formwork material, backfilling takes place before concreting to counteract concrete pressure.

How to:

Pecafil® as foundation formwork for prefabricated reinforcement cages
  • Production of the steel cage.
  • Application of Pecafil┬« formwork with appropriate spacers on both sides, fixed with cable ties at specific points.
  • Transportation to the construction site (Pecafil┬« and spacers can also be applied at the construction site if preferred).
  • Position the foundation units according to site plans.
  • Cover missing formwork at corners and connecting pieces with pre-bent flat Pecafil┬« sections. Observe the overlap length of 10cm. Join the connections using wire rods.
  • Backfill and compact the excavation.
  • Concrete the foundations.
