Sheet Pile Walls in Combination with Pecafil® – Efficient and Proven in Excavation Support

Sheet pile walls are a proven solution for the temporary support of excavations, especially in confined spaces or in areas with a high groundwater table.

When combined with Pecafil® universal formwork, numerous advantages arise: the formwork acts as a separation layer between the concrete and the sheet pile wall, eliminating the need to fill the corrugations with concrete. This leads to a significant reduction in concrete consumption.

Pecafil® impresses with its high stability, even at large concreting heights. The large-format sheets can be installed quickly and easily. The material is non-absorbent, groundwater-neutral and facilitates the later removal of the sheet piles. This minimises impacts on the structure and supports an efficient construction process.

How to:

  • Pecafil sheets can be prefabricated to required size.
  • Fasten the boards to the substrate using a stud gun or by welding.
  • Mount the reinforcement and formwork. In selecting the spacers, attention should be paid to a high load distribution (e.g. through bar spacers), so that the foil is not punctured.
  • Following concreting the sheet piles can be removed, depending on the construction.
