Forest in transition – MAX FRANK Pecafil® at KRONACH leuchtet®

From 21 to 29 April, MAX FRANK Pressig participated in KRONACH leuchtet® with the contribution "Forest in transition". For this, trees and palm trees were designed with the permanent formwork Pecafil®.

For 8 years now, MAX FRANK Pressig has contributed annually to the light art exhibition KRONACH leuchtet® with various art objects made of Pecafil®.

This year's contribution to the art exhibition was dedicated to a current topic: forests in transition.
Until just a few years ago, the Franconian Forest was characterised by dense carpets of spruce. The one-sided planting, however, favoured the infestation of bark beetles and thus deforestation. This is to change in the future with the development of a climate-stable mixed forest.

MAX FRANK Pressig visualised this idea at KRONACH leuchtet® with trees and palm trees made of yellow Pecafil®.

▶ Also in this application, Pecafil® proves itself as a universal formwork material: the material can be easily and individually shortened and bent, allowing a wide variety of shapes to be created.
The yellow and green colouring of the material also makes the art objects a special eye-catcher, especially when illuminated.

By the way:

Pecafil® also served as a material for the artworks in a variety of other art projects:
