MAX FRANK offers a wide portfolio of tested products in the areas of formwork and sealing technology as well as spacers to meet the high requirements of drinking water structures.
Where spacers are concerned, MAX FRANK has three products that have been tested for drinking water applications:
The CPF liner Zemdrain® has also been tested and approved in accordance with the highest drinking water criteria and the Injection hose system Intec® fulfils all requirements for drinking water structures in the area of waterproofing.
Drinking water is a particularly valuable commodity. For this reason, special requirements and tests apply to products used in drinking water supply structures. DVGW worksheet W 300-1 (A) ‘Drinking water tanks - planning and construction’ requires water-impermeable and low-porosity concrete that does not require any further surface treatment or internal lining. MAX FRANK TW spacers and TW wall thicknesses are tested and approved in accordance with the highest drinking water criteria.
Strict quality standards are imposed on the concrete components in the construction of drinking water tanks. The Zemdrain® controlled water drainage formwork liner minimises the occurrence of cavities and makes the concrete harder, denser and more resistant. At the same time, potential cavities in which microorganisms and algae can colonise and multiply are avoided. This increases the service life of the concrete surface enormously.
Additional testing for potable water applications of the CPF liner Zemdrain® Classic formwork liner with extended duration in formwork status can be found here: New test certificates for Potable Water Applications.
Injection resins seal construction joints in concrete with the Intec® injection hose. It is ensured that the materials do not release any harmful substances into the drinking water.
