Precise void creation in walls using Egcovoid^® system

With the Egcovoid^® system, targeted load-free zones - expecially in vertical applications. As separating new construction walls from existing structures or between municipal wall structures — the system offers solutions that are difficult to achieve with conventional methods.

• Defined cavities through simply water activation
• Vertical decoupling of walls up to 6 meters high– statically effective and acoustically optimized
• Load-bearing leveling layer - on uneven substrates e.g. in front of sheet pile walls or bored pile walls

Note: This method can also be used in applications without a Pecafil^® separation layer.

With the Egcovoid^® void former, targeted load-free zones and defined cavities can be created easily through simple water activation. Especially in vertical applications—such as separating new construction walls from existing structures or between municipal wall structures — the system offers solutions that are difficult to achieve with conventional methods.
On uneven substrates—such as in front of sheet pile walls or bored pile walls—Egcovoid^® also serves as a load-bearing leveling layer. It enables an even distribution of load during concrete pressure, ensuring a smooth pouring process.
The included layflat tubing allows targeted activation: after the concrete wall has hardened, water is inserted, causing the void former to lose its load-bearing capacity and creating a defined cavity.
