Impact sound insulation in stairwells is extremely important for living comfort. Coordinating planning, product and installation is important for prefabricated landings.
Stair landings place high demands on load-bearing capacity, impact sound, and fire protection. Egcopal combines these requirements in one system. It reliably transfers loads while ensuring tested impact sound decoupling.

The following video, taken directly from the construction site, shows the process:
- On the construction site: Prepare wall openings for the platform
- In the precast plant: Egcopal anchor bodies are concreted directly into the platform
- Before lifting: Attach distance plates (FDPL) to prevent sound bridges
- Inserting the platform: Lift into the designated position using a crane
- Installing Egcopal: Insert the acoustic box with mandrel through the wall opening
- Important: Create a load-bearing mortar bed under each acoustic box
- Connecting stair flights: Use Egcoscal stair bearings for flight decoupling
