Mina Tunnel Abu Dhabi

The project involves the construction of 1.3-kilometer tunnel in Mina Zayed that will be built to connect the Shaikh Khalifa Highway to the Shaikh Zayed Tunnel and the Corniche Road. The tunnel will house five lanes in each direction and will have capacity to accommodate 10,000 vehicles per hour, per direction.

There will also be a two-lane road connecting the highway directly to Hamdan Street. Tebodin Middle East Limited is the design consultant and Parsons International Limited is the PMC consultant.

We are supplying special bar spacers for this project; the purpose, however, is not to provide concrete cover but to protect the Cathodic Protection strips (made of Titanium). These strips are very valuable and they must be protected against damage during the construction of the tunnel.
