Drinking water reservoir

Kopenhagen, Denmark

A drinking water reservoir in Denmark was constructed using waterproof concrete.

Some later pipe penetrations were planned, which could only be positioned precisely at a later stage due to structural tolerances. Prefabricated Stremaform® elements with coated Fradiflex® metal waterstop from MAX FRANK were used to seal the openings.

Execution on the construction site: Stremaform® wall openings

Instead of positioning the Stremaform® sections vertically, the square elements were installed at an angle of 45°. This installation ensures a seamless connection during the second concreting stage, especially with the coated Fradiflex® metal waterstop positioned right up to the top corner. With appropriate pipe sleeves, a securely sealed wall penetration can be guaranteed for all wall openings.
