Five apartment blocks with around 60 flats are being built in the district of Lüneburg in Lower Saxony. The Egcobox® FB structural thermal break for steel-to-concrete connection was supplied for the construction project.
Steel-constructed balconies are often used as a design element. According to current building regulations, thermal bridges must be minimized. The thermal planning of buildings and parts of buildings is particularly important with regard to environmental protection, saving heating costs and a healthy indoor climate.
The steel to reinforced concrete connection Egcobox® FB offers the optimal solution for the thermal separation of steel to reinforced concrete structures without restricting the static effectiveness of the support system.
Depending on the load case (shear force/torque transmission or exclusively shear force transmission), the corresponding Egcobox® FB connection is used. Thermal losses are effectively prevented with the MAX FRANK product.
