In the district of Kufstein in Tyrol, Austria, investments were made last year in the construction of an underground railway line. Several MAX FRANK products were installed during the construction process.
The state of Tyrol invested €18 million in the largest project in the district of Kufstein in 2023. In order to improve both road safety and traffic flow throughout the region, avoid traffic jams and relieve the burden on local residents, work has begun on the construction of a 430-metre-long underpass on the B 178 Loferer Straße in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser. Completion is planned by Autumn 2024.
"Our mission is to ensure the safe accessibility of all valleys and villages in the entire district as well as road safety and the quality of life and protection of neighbouring residents," says Jürgen Wegscheider, Head of the Kufstein Construction District Office.
MAX FRANK supplied three different product solutions for the major project in Scheffau. The Stremaform® spacer elements for expansion joints, the Intec® injection hose system and fibre-reinforced concrete spacers were installed.
MAX FRANK products have been used for many years in numerous major tunnelling projects worldwide, as they meet the highest requirements in terms of performance and quality.
