The quality of the concrete surface is an important quality feature, especially for the inner surfaces of water tanks. A surface free of blow holes and with few pores hinders the growth of microorganisms, in addition to which the harder, smoother surface of the structure prolongs its lifetime.
Controlled permeability formliners (CPF) drain, vent and improve the concrete surface and are easy to use, even with circular formwork.
How to:
- The prefabricated Zemdrain® CPF liner can be unrolled with the help of a crane in order to line the inner formwork for the round tank. Before that, a loop tape is attached to the formwork for the subsequent fixing of the ends of the liner.
- The CPF liner is first fixed at the ends with screw clamps and then stretched using lashing straps and the pre-mounted eyes.
- The ends of the liner hook into the loop tape on the formwork like a hook-and-loop fastening and the lashing straps can then be removed and the eye parts cut off.
A cover sheet of Zemdrain® is attached over the joint.
