CONCRETE Magazine: Fish Island Village & Egcobox®
Providing customised reinforcement, with REI 120, to a community development through the use of Egcobox® balcony connectors!
Inspired by the surrounding concrete and brick warehouse buildings, the urban Fish Island Village development in London has been enhanced to generate a vibrant and authentic canalside community. Designers particularly recognized the versatility of thermal break connectors, while providing fire protection to REI 120, for this project.
MAX FRANK worked closely with concrete frame contractor, Corbyn Construction, to overcome initial construction challenges. Reinforcement solutions; Egcobox® thermal break connectors, Shearail® punching shear reinforcement and Egcodorn® shear dowels were installed throughout the development and enabled the project team to progress the development according to the planned schedule - and successfully solved the challenges ahead!
