Supporting DIY SOS: The Big Build for Children in Need!

MAX FRANK are passionate about giving back to our local communities. This year, we had the privilege of donating permanent formwork to the BBC One series 'DIY SOS: The Big Build' supporting Children in Need 2022.

Pecafil was installed to form the foundations of a life-changing transformation of the Getaway Girls' new charity headquarters in Leeds. Our colleagues had the pleasure of taking part in the big reveal - where the atmosphere was humbling. It was extraordinary to see the number of people and trades who pulled together to help build their new, permanent home.

Getaway Girls, Leeds

One of the UK's longest-running charities, Getaway Girls supports and provides a 'safe-space' for young women aged 11-25. Originally operating from a terraced house, demand grew so much they moved to rented accommodation in various location across the city.

12 years ago, the charity supported 60 girls - today they support 800 young women. BBC's DIY SOS pledged to provide a new central hub from which the charity could operate.
