One of the largest urban building projects in Australia, with high-rise buildings and a financial district, is being built in Barangaroo, Sydney.
Investment in this project is 6 billion AUD and the client is the government of New South Wales.
Currently in development is the southern sector of "Barangaroo" with over 430,000 sqm. All kinds of companies can now access space in the new International Towers Sydney (ITS). The Stremaform® formwork element from MAX FRANK was used in the construction of the International Towers in Sydney.
The worldwide property- and infrastructure corporation Lend Lease, based in Australia and responsible for Barangaroo South, is employing exclusively experienced and competent partners with high-quality products for this building project. The client chose Stremaform® formwork elements from Max Frank Australia Pty Ltd. A subsidiary of the international MAX FRANK Group, it won the major commission with Barangaroo South
to produce the 4 m deep floor slab below the three International Towers, which was executed in the first stage. In the subsequent cooperation, Max Frank Australia Pty Ltd, engineers from Lend Lease and the technical department of the MAX FRANK Group in Germany found further opportunities for the use of Stremaform®. Particularly Stremaform® box-out formwork, which was used in the ceiling support areas of all the towers, enabled the separation of two types of concrete with different specifications. This greatly simplified the work and saved time on the building site. In total 16,000 bar spacers and approx. 18,800 m Stremaform® were installed.
