Concrete structures are designed for a lifetime of at least 50 to 100 years. Current projects are already aiming for a lifetime of 200 years. Such structures, which are exposed to the environment, often have to be renovated several times during this period. The reason for these time-consuming and cost-intensive renovation measures are deficits in the quality of the concrete edge zone of concrete components.
By using the controlled permeability formwork (CPF) liner Zemdrain® during concreting, this weak point is prevented right from the start, as the product ensures a blowhole-free and hard concrete edge zone. Zemdrain® thus supports the creation of sustainable concrete structures.
