How To: Good room acoustics combined with jointless and homogeneous ceiling optics

How To: Good room acoustics combined with jointless and homogeneous ceiling optics

Sorp 10® sound absorbers integrated into the concrete ceiling ensure good room acoustics and reduce reverberation time. In combination with Sorp acoustic plaster, a jointless, homogeneous ceiling design is achieved.

. After stripping the underside of the ceiling covered with Sorp 10®, the strips of sound absorber are first treated with a filler grout. Then sprayed with an adhesive primer and the acoustic plaster is applied in two steps.

How to:

  • Use Sorp filler grout to level out the difference in height between Sorp 10® sound absorber and the concrete ceiling.
  • Treat exposed concrete surfaces between Sorp 10® sound absorbers with Sorp primer. Apply the primer evenly with a roller or spray on.
  • Apply Sorp acoustic primer over the entire surface, dent and smooth.
  • After a drying phase, apply a second coat of Sorp acoustic plaster as the final coat.
