Void former Egcovoid®
for load activation
The Egcovoid® void former creates a load-free separation layer. Load activations are required, especially in the event of incalculable forces, to produce a targeted load transmission. Vibration decoupling or statically unique load situations are possible with the Egcovoid® void former at a desired time.

A flat load-free layer must be created to protect underground structures against unwanted loads. This prevents unwanted load transfer, in particular from deflections of concrete structures subject to dynamic traffic loads (heavy vehicles, trucks, etc.).
The Egcovoid® void former is used to achieve planned load activation after concreting.

Building up against an existing neighbouring wall is a critical area with regard to statics, settlement and sound insulation.
In order to statically and acoustically decouple an existing wall from a new building wall, a void is created with the Egcovoid® void former.
It is important to isolate the existing wall from the new one and to ensure that there is a continuous joint between the neighbouring walls. Unlike permanent formwork with perimeter insulation, sound bridges and static influences are completely prevented with the Egcovoid® void former.
